Some weddings are beautiful. Some weddings are fun. Casey & Josh’s wedding at Kiana Lodge was both — and it was also one of the most musically curated celebrations I’ve ever been part of. With Josh being a talented musician himself, every song was intentional, every cue timed perfectly, and the result was a day where music wasn’t just part of the atmosphere — it was the atmosphere.
Ceremony with a Soundtrack
The ceremony took place on Kiana’s deck, framed by eucalyptus-lined aisles and the backdrop of Agate Pass. Guests were seated as the sounds of Led Zeppelin’s Going to California and Bron-Yr-Aur set the tone. Every moment was timed to the second, right down to the kiss — held just long enough for the violin reprisal in Maribou State’s Beginner’s Luck before the two turned to walk back up the aisle to the beat.
And yes, there was even a touch of humor. During the ceremony, the officiant slipped in a lighthearted reference to MMMbop — a nod to Casey’s childhood love of the song — which got a big laugh from the couple and their guests.
Straight to the Dance Floor
After the vows, cocktails, and dinner, the night shifted gears into full-on celebration. And when I say the dance floor was packed all night, I mean all night. From the first song to the last, Casey and Josh’s friends and family brought an energy that never let up.
The setlist was as eclectic as it was perfect — a blend of throwbacks, singalongs, and floor-fillers like Return of the Mack, Mr. Brightside, and Call Me Al. Of course, MMMBop made its triumphant (and hilarious) appearance, and it was impossible not to join in on the fun.
A Finale to Remember
As the night wound down, everyone gathered for a huge group singalong to Queen’s We Are the Champions. Voices rang out, arms wrapped around shoulders, and it was the perfect way to send Casey & Josh off into married life — surrounded by music, laughter, and love.
Congratulations, Casey & Josh. Your wedding was an unforgettable celebration of not just your love for each other, but your shared love for music — and I couldn’t imagine a more perfect soundtrack for your day.
